Ice Hogs Hockey Rules was founded to further the growth and development of minor hockey players from the Brockville and surrounding area. Our program is committed and focused on making the game of hockey enjoyable for all participants while providing an opportunity for player development. Our instructors conduct themselves in a professional manner, with the emphasis on fair and equal treatment of all participants. Our program encourages participants to be polite, professional, exude great sportsmanship, while being as competitive as possible wherever hockey takes them. This program promotes the "Practice Hard - Play Harder" philosophy and encourages its' participants to be respectful of others in this learning environment. Thank you for considering The Ice Hogs Hockey Rules program as a supplementary program to your Minor Hockey experience.
This was our first season of power skating for Novice and Atom aged players. The season started on September 5th and ended on March 22nd. Children were asked to start slow and learn the basic fundamentals of skating, concentrating of edges and proper stride techniques. Progressively the children were asked to increase their speed, then pucks and hockey drills were introduced. We have seen some real improvements in our children. Sue Basiren was the lead instructor and will be returning for next season. There is an ODMHA certified trainer at all ice sessions.
The Ice Hogs program offers supplementary training for minor hockey players in Brockville through the following programs:
Due to limited spaces in all of the programs offered, preference will be given to returning Ice Hogs until May 1st, 2008.
